Chris MacLaughlin has lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico 48 years, has worked as a document editor for his own company for 18 years: Chris's Confidential Editing. He caters mostly to graduate students attending New Mexico State University and specializes in editing doctoral dissertations, masters theses, written works by professors who intend to publish in order to attain tenure and much more. As preparatory editor, he has edited 9 books, 2 non-fiction and 7 novels. Four of these books were published in hardcopy, one is still pending publication. Chris and his wife, Tricia, will have been married 30 years November, 2015. "She's my inspiration," he says, "and is constantly encouraging me to keep writing. She's a tough critic and a good editor, too, and she's never afraid to tell me when I've 'gone too far,' or, 'not gone far enough.' She's always there for me as my beautiful wife, friend and advisor and I owe much of the credit for inspiration of my work to her."
